# About Writavo

A CMS with AI article generation on top: what it does, where your articles are served from, and where the product is today.

## What Writavo is

Writavo is a CMS with AI article generation built in. You manage articles, media, taxonomy and
authors, publish to your own domain, and read everything back over a REST API. One switch adds an
AI pipeline that researches your market, writes original articles with images, checks their
quality and publishes them on your schedule.

Use it purely as a CMS, turn the pipeline on and have articles from day one, or anything in
between. Every AI article is an ordinary, editable document, you can hold articles for review, and
nothing is published without passing a quality check.

## Where your content lives

There are five ways to get articles onto your domain. Writavo recommends the strongest one your
stack supports.

- **Reverse proxy** at `yoursite.com/blog`: articles live on your root domain and keep its
  authority.
- **Subdomain** at `blog.yoursite.com`: a fallback when a proxy is not possible.
- **Hosted site**: a branded blog hosted by Writavo, for when you have no website yet.
- **Headless API**: fetch articles into your own front end over plain HTTP, with an OpenAPI
  specification to generate types from.
- **Push to WordPress and Ghost**, the CMS you already run.

## How Writavo is built

- **Your data is isolated.** Every record belongs to one Site, resolved on our servers from your
  session or API key. Another Site's objects return 404.
- **We hold every third-party key.** AI, SEO data and image providers are billed to Writavo and
  metered back to your Site.
- **Every billable step has a hard spend cap**, checked per Site before and during a run.
- **The CMS never goes offline over a limit.** Going over a CMS allowance is billed, not blocked.

## Where the product is today

Writavo is live: anyone can create an account, add a Site and use the CMS, with the AI pipeline
on top. We work closely with early customers in different niches to prove the pipeline works
beyond the one it was built in.
